Once the leads are placed, the cap is placed on the child’s head over top of the leads. The cap helps keep the leads in place and deters the child from touching the leads. It does something for hiding how scary and obscene they look. He is calmer! He has not fussed with them one time! Not one. Going to the bathroom was always such a big deal too because he would forget about them and then see them in the mirror and start freaking out again. He NEVER messed with them!
I can’t tell you how many eeg’s we have had that I truly wish I found Hannahtopia sooner! Jeremiah is now almost 7 years old and becoming more aware of what’s socially acceptable, walking into the lab he cried “people make fun me” I showed him the cap and omg he lit up! Oh my gosh, I can’t even tell you how much the nurses, doctors and EEG techs LOVE Chloe’s Nilly Noggin!!
