Welcome to our “Before/After” series!
In this series you will meet children who are receiving EEG tests and get to wear a NillyNoggin® EEG Cap during the procedure!
We hope you enjoy the “before” and “after” expressions on their faces! We’re so excited to see these smiles!
Epilepsy impacts 1 in 20 children currently in the USA. All of these children receive EEG tests, many receive multiple tests. Having a NillyNoggin EEG Cap has been shown to have many benefits, such as reducing the stress and anxiety the children commonly experience. Together we can make a difference in childhood epilepsy!
His mom shared the following with us:
“So they must’ve never seen one of these here! Lol since we checked in yesterday we’ve been getting visitors from the Epilepsy Department constantly to take pictures of him and write down your website. So far seven staff members have taken pics.”
“We are so happy that we purchased the NillyNoggin for our son for his EEG. He is a rambunctious sleeper and I knew that the gauze would have no chance staying on his head for the planned three-day test … not to mention how much he would mess with the wires if he could get to them. He loves dogs so I got him the dog print which he was very happy with! He got lots of visitors at CHOP as the staff heard about his cool hat and wanted to come in to see it for themselves. Some even took pictures and then called Hannahtopia to get more information. They all said how much better it would be for the kids then the plain gauze caps they use. He only had to have his gauze rewrapped twice in the three days. I believe that if they had not used all of the gauze underneath they would not have had to do this at all because it was the gauze sliding up, not the NillyNoggin. The NillyNoggin was staying in place while the gauze underneath was working its way off. The wires were completely covered with no loose pieces for him to pick at or unwrap. I’m glad we have it and it will fit him for more EEG’s in the future.”
